Hello! Michelle here! It's 07:00 PM and I just got the news from my CTO that Typedream's newest product is ready for alpha testing. So, I thought, let's do user interviews. Isn't it straightforward? Let's contact a few potential users, ask them to hop on a call with me. We'll play around with the product together, ask them to share their feedback, and we'll iterate from there.

But doing it isn't so straightforward. Why would these potential users want to hop on a call with me? Why would they want to share their feedback? What's in it for them? As a woman, I've had guys slide into my DMs. But what makes a person stand out? Is it their profile pic? Is it the things they post? Or maybe their slick pickup lines? There was this guy who kept on sending me furniture picks. Just one furniture pick a day. So one day, I decided to ask, "Yo, what's up with the furniture picks?" And then he was like, "Oh, don't mind me. I'm just slowly moving into your life." I was like, "Dang, that's funny." So I went ahead and gave him my number.

Same with user interviews. You've got to know what excites these users, what's in it for them?

So here's the plan for Typedream. The product that's ready for alpha testing is Typedream’s link in bio. And our main target user for that product is TikTok and Instagram creators or influencers. We plan on getting these Instagram and TikTok influencers to hop on a call with us by offering to turn their boring link in bios into beautiful ones built with Typedream. So they probably have link in bios right now built with Linktree. Looks like just a page with buttons, similar-looking buttons. We're going to turn that into a beautiful link in bio, Apple-like cards, round corners, shadows, everything with Typedream. And after getting their first attention with that sexy look, then we're going to tell them why Typedream is a game-changer, why Typedream can help them increase their conversion, how they can better tell their story, and how they can better connect with their audience.
